Voters Overwhelmingly Approve Sales Tax Reallocation

The turnout was light, but in the end, the vote wasn't even close as Moore residents overwhelmingly approved the reallocation of a one-eighth cent sales tax reallocation on Tuesday, November 12.  The final total is unofficial, but here are what the numbers looked like:

Yes 1,697 (71%)
No   698 (29%).

Cleveland County voters also approved a one-eighth cent sales tax for public safety issues by a vote of 10,432 (72%) to 4,061 (28%).

The Cleveland County Election Board will certify the vote at 5 p.m. Friday, November 15.
