Free Shaved Ice on Tax Day

Apr 17, 2017

Tax returns got you overheating this week? Kona Ice is giving everyone in Moore a chance to “chill out” by handing out free cups of tropical shaved ice and complimentary Hawaiian leis on Tuesday, April 18. The Kona Ice truck will be in full service to everyone at the Moore Chamber of Commerce, 305 W. Main Street in Moore, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to ensure that there is no taxation without relaxation this tax season.

This is the fourth annual National “Chill Out” Day that Kona Ice has presented to the public, just one of the many ways they’re encouraging the nation to step back, take a deep breath, relax and enjoy a Kona. Kona Ice has given back more than $40 million to the communities it serves.

A true community ally renowned for facilitating endless fundraising options, Kona Ice has given more than $40 million back to neighborhood schools, organizations and teams since its inception in 2007. The brand's iconic truck offers customers a one-of-a-kind experience, featuring the opportunity to create their own Kona Ice on the self-serve Flavorwave™, while enjoying the soothing sights and sounds from the tropics. Currently, there are 800-plus franchise units in more than 45 states.
